Introduction:

Whether your are computer geek or a general user you must have came across the word IP address. Actually IP address refers to Internet Protocol address. This is actually the name of the device in the network. Every computer or device has it own IP for its local network and the router has a IP called as default gateway for the network which actually sort the data coming and going to and from devices inside the network to other networks (internet). Now your device also have a public IP which is your device internet name. 

In this tut, I am going to show you how to determine your local IP, default gateway or router's IP and your devices public IP.

1. Router's IP address or Default gateway And Your Local IP:

Just follow the step below and you will surely find your Default gateway and your local IP,

Steps:

1. Go to command prompt. Just type 'cmd' in search and hit enter.


2. In cmd type 'ipconfig' and hit enter and you will see a list coming up.


3. Now in the list search for "Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection:" and in the section look for "IPv4 Address" which is your local IP and "Default Gateway" which is your router's IP.


And you are done.

2. Public IP:

This a very simple task and can be completed in one or two steps.

Steps: 

1. Go to "https://www.whatismyip.com/" and you are done or search "what is my IP" in google and you are done.
